The things that are important to me about choosing this product: 1) They are made in America and their construction is robust, 2) The look and feel of these shoes is exceptional. However, after receiving them, I could tell by the finish of the leather that they would require constant care to preserve the more formal look. I will be disappointed if the shoes look too casual quickly. On the first day that the shoes were worn, I lightly scuffed the side of the shoe on the edge of a lower cabinet and a small cut was apparent at the end of the day. This is not repairable. I will wear these shoes with core dressy, casual Khakis, cords, or jeans. But I want them to look the quality that I paid a premium to have. Plan to keep the shoes in shoe trees and, while they are purportedly water resistant, don’t wear them on wet days. Overall, I’m pleased that they are comfortable and very nice looking.
