There’s no better time to travel the great state of California. The best way to do that is cruising up Highway 1 with the top down. After driving along the Big Sur coast, I thought I’d take a side trip via Highway 101 to the Salinas Valley, feeling the California breeze wick the sun off my face on my way to wine country in my Gimo’s ultimate technical jacket.

Dressed in the Inis Meáin linen sweater, sitting back into the leather driver’s seat in my favorite AG jeans after an incredible wine tasting, I feel the wind pick up as I press the soul of my Alden suede chukkas into the gas pedal. What better a place? Ocean. Wine. The world’s fruit basket.
